Black Shark 5 Pro
The best big Android phone

Pros

  • 120hz fast charging support
  • Latest Android 12
  • Powerful processor
  • OLED screen
  • 4k video recording

Cons

  • No microSD slot
  • No audio jack
  • Fingerprint sensor is not great

The Black Shark 5 Pro is the company's latest gaming smartphone and is sponsored by Xiaomi (but not owned by Xiaomi). Its specs prioritize performance despite being more affordable than the majority of "regular" high-end Android smartphones. Can the Black Shark 5 Pro succeed in the specialized smartphone gaming market? In this comprehensive evaluation, I give the world my perspective.

The Black Shark 5 Pro has an aggressive, yet extremely stylish, gaming-focused design. It feels especially good to the touch around the rear, and it even appears to "isolate" your hands from the heat the SoC emits. The physical retractable triggers are also a lot of fun to use. However, a few functions that one might anticipate finding in an allegedly high-end smartphone aren't present.

The Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Octa-core CPU powers the gadget. The smartphone has an OLED capacitive touchscreen with a 6.67-inch diagonal and a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution.

The back camera has 108 MP (wide), 13 MP (ultrawide), and 5 MP resolutions (telephoto macro). The front has a 16 MP camera (wide). The phone has a potent Non-removable Li-Po 4650 mAh + Fast Charging 120W, 100% in 15 min battery (advertised).

The internal storage supports Android 12 and Joy UI 13 and has capacities of 256 and 512 GB. Strong RAM options for the smartphone include 8 GB, 12 GB, and 16 GB. The device is offered in the colors Black and White.

Google Pixel 6 Pro
The best big Android phone

rating-starrating-starrating-starrating-starrating-star

Pros

  • Good price
  • Better performance
  • Running Android 12
  • Powerful processor
  • Excellent 120hz screen

Cons

  • No microSD slot
  • Confusing 5g
  • The fingerprint sensor is not great

Google has now made hardware improvements to the Pixel 6 Pro, making it one of the best smartphones in its class. The phone is excellent for playing games on the go because it sports a bright LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Google's specialized and potent Tensor processor. No game, including Genshin Impact or Call of Duty: Mobile, lags on Google's own silicon.

Even in terms of memory and storage, it is not deficient. Along with 128GB of storage, you receive 12GB of RAM as standard. One of the best camera configurations on a phone today is formed by the trio of 50MP, 48MP, and 12MP lenses at the back.

This smartphone will have one of the greatest screens you've ever used thanks to Google's outstanding display technology, we promise. It has excellent picture clarity, constantly high brightness levels, and a big 6.7-inch screen.

Another noteworthy component of the Pixel 6 Pro is the new Tensor chipset. Although it hasn't yet shown any appreciable advantages over phones with more conventional chipsets, what important is that it is still easily powerful enough to launch your favorite apps and games.

Another advantage of the Pixel 6 Pro is its variable camera arrangement, which enables you to take pictures of various things in various ways. The primary camera's sensor is an improvement over

Asus Rog Phone 6 Pro
The best big Android phone
rating-starrating-starrating-starrating-starrating-star

Pros

  • Best gaming performance
  • Water-resistant
  • High ram capacity
  • Better security
  • 65W fast and 10W reverse

Cons

  • No custom support
  • Slightly heavy build
  • Average camera

A man's garish is another man's exquisite, so not everyone will find the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro to be aesthetically pleasing. It goes large and aggressive, using an icy metallic blue to highlight the power button, dual SIM card slot, primary rear camera, and different lines on the back.

The phone's back features a little emblem that reads "DARE TO PLAY" and can light up red, giving it a techy appearance. The Pro model of the phone I tested also features a tiny color display that is approximately half an inch tall and two inches broad and may show small notification icons, interesting little effects, or information about battery charging.

Durability is another compromise made for gaming. Despite the front display's robust Gorilla Glass covering

Apart from the pre-installed Armoury Crate app, the Game Genie overlay, and the X-mode for gaming performance, there isn't much extra fluff added to the operating system on the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro. Operating a Pixel 6 has a similar vibe to that, but with a more edgy icon set. Given that it is based on Android 12, which is set to receive an update, Asus will only provide two OS updates and two years of security patches.

Sometimes, the software provided by Asus is not very user-friendly. Finding the tools for specific tasks, like remapping controllers for the numerous Asus accessories, proved to be significantly more difficult than it should have been. The separation between Armoury Crate and Game Genie doesn't often make sense.
